What to do if a student who needs special support is taking online classes

Support for students who need special support

Depending on the disability of the student attending, special consideration may be required when conducting online classes. We would be grateful if you could take the following actions based on the content of the documents (「合理的配慮を必要とする学生が履修する授業の実施について」)sent to the teachers in charge of the classes taken by students with disabilities.

【hearing impairment,mental disorder etc.】

real time online classes

Please contact the President Office, as transcription or translation may be performed using voice recognition software.

Please provide class materials in advance. You can improve the accuracy of translation by registering technical terms in advance.

When you conduct online classes , speak slowly and clearly than usual.

Please refrain from using a mask so that students can see your mouth easily.

on-demand classes

Please make the text information of the lecture materials more than usual.

Please insert subtitles in the video material. If you have difficulty inserting subtitles, we would appreciate it if you could provide us with a manuscript to read.

If you cannot provide subtitles and manuscripts for reading, please contact the President's Office (gakucho-shitsu@jmj.tmu.ac.jp) as soon as possible.

Please provide the lecture materials as text data so that students can output the voices using the PC reading function.

Please insert a brief description in the figure or image.

Please use a large font.

If you want to emphasize letters, etc., instead of using many colors, use underlines.

Please explain the relevant part such as the page number of the material without using the directive.
